I grew up in Brooklyn and obtained my undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University. I attended medical school at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. I then completed a psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where I served as a Chief Resident and was awarded membership to the Leo Davidoff Society for excellence in medical student education.

I was honored as 2013 Resident of the Year at Janian Medical Care, where I have worked since residency, treating currently homeless and formerly homeless individuals in a variety of settings.

I am board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and was certified in Community Psychiatry by the American Association of Community Psychiatrists. I believe strongly in the efficacy of psychotherapy and have completed a number of courses through the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
